Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Among the three essentials of one's life housing is also a factor. In countries like India where population rise is accompanied with diverse income classes and most of them existed in low-income level, housing is definitely an issue to be concerned. The migration of people from rural to urban primarily for generating income is the unavoidable scenario. This then gives rise to slums and occupancy on the footpaths. To tackle this problem Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced a scheme named Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana also commonly known as Housing for All (Urban) on 1st June 2015.

The common picture of any Mahanagari is, people dwelling on the footpaths and slums. First of all the places are very unhealthy and unhygienic that gives rise to different adamant diseases. Also, the safety of the dwellers comes under the question. This also includes the forceful necessity to pay high rents for the rented flats as compared to the income earned. In addition, it never makes possible for those low-income families to save enough for their future betterment. So, by sensing the necessity of the people the scheme has been taken up to provide houses to the urban poor.
